Multi-HR Day for Castillo as Canadians Overpower Fireballs, 13-5
The Vancouver Canadians bested the Joplin Fireballs by a score of 13-5, with designated hitter Jesús Castillo getting the main credit. On the day, Castillo belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7 for the Canadians. Vancouver reliever Fernando López picked up the win, bumping his record to 5-2. Jacob Willard was collared with the loss. At 40-42, the Canadians are currently 4th in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.

Castillo had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 0-2 fastball from Jacob Willard, he banged a bases-clearing double to center, giving the Canadians a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Castillo.

"We played hard and won," said Castillo. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
