Victory Pushes Blazers Record to 16-9
|
Getting an impressive start from Oliver Romero, Bloomington beat Jacksonville by the score of 3-1. Romero got the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Romero allowed 1 earned run. The Jacks fall to 11-14 and continue their lackluster start to the 2033 season.
The Blazers got a big at-bat from shortstop Fernando Franco. For the game, Franco was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Bloomington a 1-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Romero said.
