Munoto Okuta added some punch to the Albuquerque offense, helping them outmuscle the Minneapolis Freeze, 10-8. In the game, Okuta, who is tied for 4th in the NAL in home runs with 14, was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Albuquerque reliever Yok-sing Tann picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Dave Sherrill shouldered the loss. Hisataro Sato, credited with the save, is now 24 for 27 in save opportunities.

Okuta had a key at-bat for Albuquerque early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and gave Albuquerque an early 4-0 lead.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Okuta.
