Fairfield and Detroit duked it out at Durham Bulls Athletic Park and the Flash came out victorious.

Fairfield shortstop Yoshitake Morita made his presence felt in the 10-8 Flash triumph over the Detroit Death Stars. Morita went 2-4 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Joe Gillard got credit for the win, improving to 9-4. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings.

Morita had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run triple. The Flash went on to win.

"We played hard and won," said Morita. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

The Flash improved to a lofty 54-22.
