Freeze Fall Short, 4-3, at Bowling Green
|
Bowling Green beat Minneapolis at Top of the Hill, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Masamichi Takeda, who earned player of the game honors. The Freeze, now 44-32, have lost 5 in a row.
The Racers got a big at-bat from first baseman Xiao-xuan Zhou. For the game, Zhou went 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave Bowling Green a 4-3 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Zhou. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
