Banditos Subdue Canton, 4-2
|
The Acapulco Banditos got a strong performance from pitcher Travis Smith, who stymied the Canton offense en route to a 4-2 win at Mckinley Park. Today's win puts Acapulco at 34-41, while Canton falls to 38-36.
The game was on the line with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, but Curtis Cahill didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Canton trailing 4-2, Cahill retired Noboru Kamada to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Cahill, with a wink.
