Mafia Turn Back Dallas, 3-2

Fans who gathered at Don Corleone Park saw a good contest between the New York Mafia and Dallas Texans.
New York rode a decent outing from starter Juan Mendoza to victory over the Dallas Texans at Don Corleone Park. The final score was 3-2. Mendoza got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Mendoza allowed 2 earned runs.
The Mafia got a big at-bat from shortstop Chris Sterling. For the game, Sterling was 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave New York a 3-2 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mendoza told the New York Chronicle.
New York is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 8th win in 25 games.
