|
In a tight battle between the Peoria Caterpillars and the Pasadena Bumblebees, pitcher Francisco Zúñiga was in the zone. The Peoria right-hander was named the player of the game in Peoria's 3-1 win. Adam Stickells converted his 1st save in 1 tries. Peoria is now 35-38, Pasadena 30-42.
Dylan Pugsley went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Peoria. The 29-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Antonio Bayuga. It was his 33rd walk of the season.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Peoria skipper Roberto Martínez.
