Raiders Score Late to Upend Coal Miners, 7-5
|
Reno withstood an impressive performance by Antioch catcher Jun Ogura to defeat the Coal Miners, 7-5, at The Coal Mine. Ogura went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. The Raiders bumped their record to 37-35 with this latest triumph.
Ricardo Peralta, who is tied for 4th in the DKL in extra base hits with 29, chipped in for Reno with a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
