It was a good time at Golden Fleece Park, where fans came to watch the Reno Raiders and Astoria Argonauts get after it.
The Astoria Argonauts defeated the Reno Raiders, 5-1, at Golden Fleece Park today. Leading the charge for Astoria was third baseman Chuck McNeil. He went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win was Kagetoki Ohayashi's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Almas bin Su'ud took the loss for Reno.
The Argonauts got a big at-bat from first baseman Yeong-il Kim. For the game, Kim went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Astoria a 2-0 lead.
Kim called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Astoria now sits at 30-42, while Reno falls to 36-35.
