Spirited fans at Foothills Stadium greeted the Calgary Kodiaks for their clash with the Minneapolis Freeze.

The Minneapolis Freeze picked up a win at Foothills Stadium, knocking off the Calgary Kodiaks, 5-3. Starting pitcher Andrew Johnson was an essential part of his team's success. Minneapolis improves to 42-25 with the win. They lead their division by 5½ games.

The Freeze got a big at-bat from first baseman Miguel Olberos. For the game, Olberos went 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 81st hit of the season gave Minneapolis a 2-1 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Olberos. "And not try to do too much."
