Kodiaks Bang Out 10-6 Win Versus Minneapolis
|
Calgary left-hander Alfredo Crespo pitched his team to victory over the Minneapolis Freeze at Foothills Stadium. The final score was 10-6. Calgary, at 32-33, occupies 5th place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.
The Kodiaks got a big at-bat from right fielder Bill O'Brien. For the game, O'Brien went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Calgary a 7-6 lead.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said O'Brien.
