Yamaguchi goes 4-for-5, Flash Move to 45-20
|
The Fairfield Flash beat the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 12-6, at Stars Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Nobutsugu Yamaguchi, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Bi`nh Trieu notched his 1st save in 1 chances. The Flash have an impressive 45-20 record.
The Flash got a big at-bat from first baseman Josh Bowmer. For the game, Bowmer went 1-6 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Fairfield a 7-4 lead.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Yamaguchi told the Fairfield Herald. "It's as simple as that."
