Mustangs Drop Another One
|
The Peoria Caterpillars trumped the Billings Mustangs, 7-4, at Excavatar Park. Peoria third baseman Francis Barlow was named player of the game for his performance. He was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 4th-place Caterpillars have won 5 in a row.
Barlow contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Peoria in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 4-1, Barlow took a fastball from José Chávez and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Caterpillars to leap in front, 5-4.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Barlow said.
