Big Day for Solis as Canadians Down Cacti, 13-5
Vancouver designated hitter Alex Solis had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Albuquerque Cacti, 13-5. The third-place Canadians improved to 36-30.

Robert Mentzer had a big run-scoring double for the Canadians in the bottom of the third inning. With Vancouver trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Shuichi Imai and stroked the double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Canadians ahead, 2-1.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Vancouver manager Arinori Nakamura.
