Raptors Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Joplin
The Omaha Raptors knocked off the Joplin Fireballs, 7-3, at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. Tom Bailey, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Omaha won. The designated hitter went 2-2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. The Raptors are now 31-34, while the Fireballs fall to 27-37.

The Raptors got a big at-bat from center fielder Desidério Sánchez. For the game, Sánchez went 1-3 with 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 45th hit of the season gave Omaha a 3-1 lead.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Bailey. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
