Cacti Squelch Canadians Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Albuquerque Cacti topped the Vancouver Canadians, 5-0, in Nick Adenhart League action at Stanley Park. The player of the game was Albuquerque pitcher Izumo Ikarashi. Yok-sing Tann notched his 1st save in 3 chances. Albuquerque leads the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division by 3˝ games.
Omar McKoy, who is rated as the 11th best prospect by BNN, aided the Albuquerque cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We did a lot of things right," said Ikarashi.
