Racers Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Scranton
|
The Bowling Green Racers topped the Scranton Escape, 8-5, with first baseman Xiao-xuan Zhou playing a big role. Zhou went 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Racers in the win. The Racers bumped their record to 35-28 with this latest triumph.
Zhou contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Bowling Green in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-4, Zhou took a fastball from Bobby Lucio and stroked the double to left-center. His 10th double of the season allowed the Racers to leap in front, 6-5.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Zhou said.
