Acapulco and Fairfield duked it out at Durham Bulls Athletic Park and the Banditos came out victorious.

The Acapulco Banditos topped the Fairfield Flash, 7-5, with right fielder Ronald Sanders playing a big role. Sanders was 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Banditos in the win. The winner was Fred Campbell, who threw 100 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits.

Sanders contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Acapulco in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Sanders took a fastball from Joe Gillard and stroked the triple to right. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Banditos to leap in front, 3-2.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Sanders.

Acapulco is now 28-33.
