The Scranton Escape beat the Acapulco Banditos, 14-7, at Underdogs Ballpark. The Escape got a fine performance from catcher Mitsuo Sasaki, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Scranton reliever Joe Kenner was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Jon Green. Bobby Lucio recorded the save for Scranton, his 1st of the season.

Had John Huot not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Huot hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Escape.

"We got the victory," said Sasaki. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

Acapulco's current losing streak is now 4 games.
