Bettcher Lifts Mustangs to 9-6 Win
Billings right fielder Jeff Bettcher was instrumental in his team's 9-6 win over the Bronx Bombers. Bettcher, who is tied for 4th in the DKL with a .447 on-base percentage, went 3-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mustangs. Luis Sánchez, credited with the win, is now 4-3. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits in 7 innings. The Mustangs bumped their record to 34-26 with this latest triumph.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from shortstop Manny Lugo. For the game, Lugo went 1-5. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 38th hit of the season gave Billings a 2-0 lead.

"Jeff is still learning," said Mustangs manager Greg Morgan. "The sky's the limit for him."
