Escape Win at Acapulco, 4-1
|
The Scranton Escape got a rain-soaked win over the Acapulco Banditos at Underdogs Ballpark.
Scranton used a superb performance from starting pitcher Yeijiro Suzuki to down the Acapulco Banditos, 4-1. In 7.2 innings, Suzuki surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Máximo Larreta converted his 4th save in 6 tries.
The Escape got a big at-bat from designated hitter Theodore Brennan. For the game, Brennan went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Scranton a 2-0 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Suzuki.
Scranton is last in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division with a record of 20-36.
