Coal Miners Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Antioch Coal Miners and Peoria Caterpillars put on quite a show at Excavatar Park.

The Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Peoria Caterpillars, 9-7, at Excavatar Park today. Leading the charge for Antioch was left fielder Lee Brooks. He went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Antioch has 3 straight wins, Peoria 3 straight losses.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the 13th, Danny Martinez hit a sacrifice fly. The Coal Miners took the lead, 8-7.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Martinez told the Antioch Citizen.
