The Fort Worth Cats downed the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 4-2, at Stars Field. The Cats were led by Ron Woods, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. With the win, the Cats improved to 22-35.

The Cats got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ken Paul. For the game, Paul went 1-4. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 41st hit of the season gave Fort Worth a 1-0 lead.
