Reno starter Maurice Bignold pitched effectively against the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Hole. The left-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. The winning pitcher was Bignold, now 4-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. Orinosuke Matsuoka converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
Nate Kemp aided the Reno cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Bignold.
The Raiders bumped their record to 29-26 with this latest triumph.
