López Stars in Racers Win
|
The Chicago Titans and Bowling Green Racers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at The War Dome.
The Bowling Green Racers grabbed a 11-5 win over the Chicago Titans at The War Dome. Bowling Green center fielder Juan López was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 to earn player of the game honors. Bowling Green reliever Larry Allen picked up the win to move to 6-1. Christopher Fallows suffered the loss.
Xiao-xuan Zhou, who leads the NAL in bases on balls with 52, aided the Bowling Green cause with a 2-run single in the top of the second. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Zhou.
The Racers bumped their record to 32-25 with this latest triumph.
