The Canton Paczkis topped the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 8-3, with right fielder Ty Bedford playing a big role. Bedford went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Paczkis in the win. The Paczkis bumped their record to 26-25 with this latest triumph.

Bedford contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Canton in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Bedford took a cutter from John Faivre and stroked the double to left. His 9th double of the season allowed the Paczkis to leap in front, 3-2.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Canton manager Omar Arteaga.
