Acapulco got an elite performance from starting pitcher Lonnie Young in taking a 2-1 decision over the Chicago Titans. Earning his 11th save of the year was Curtis Cahill. The Banditos improve their record to 26-28 with the win over Chicago.

Acapulco took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, designated hitter Phil Mouland hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Acapulco skipper Salvador López.
