Streaking Flash Win Another One
|
The Fairfield Flash got a stellar performance from pitcher Gabriel Bernard, who handcuffed the Bowling Green offense en route to a 3-1 win at Top of the Hill. Bernard went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-1. Benjamin Stevenson picked up the save for Fairfield, his 17th of the year.
The Flash got a big at-bat from shortstop Yoshitake Morita. For the game, Morita went 1-3 with a walk. In the top of the third, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 55th hit of the season gave Fairfield a 1-0 lead.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Morita.
Bowling Green's current losing streak is now 5 games.
