The Joplin Fireballs picked up a win at House of Pain, knocking off the Reno Raiders, 6-4. Starting pitcher Jacob Willard, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Joplin has a 4-game win streak, while Reno has lost 3 in a row.

Odilon Barata hit a run-scoring triple off Théophile Richard in the top of the fourth, which put the Fireballs in front, 1-0. Barata had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 5.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Joplin manager Clement Snow.
