The Albuquerque Sports Stadium faithful were treated to an exciting walk-off win.
The Albuquerque Cacti took Reno pitcher Almas bin Su'ud's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The final score had Albuquerque getting past the Raiders, 2-1. bin Su'ud went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 8. The win was Hisataro Sato's in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Almas bin Su'ud took the loss for Reno.
Takafumi Ueno was the walk-off hero for Albuquerque. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cacti shortstop hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"This is a very good team," said Ueno. "We have the chance to do something special."
The Cacti have an impressive 33-20 record.
