The Peoria Caterpillars relied on the hitting of left fielder Eric Daniels to stop the Bowling Green Racers, 4-3. For the game, Daniels went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Peoria is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Daniels had a key at-bat for Peoria early in the game. With a runner on 3rd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Peoria an early 2-0 lead.
