The Joplin Fireballs topped the Acapulco Banditos, 6-1, in Darryl Kile League action at Underdogs Ballpark. The player of the game was Joplin pitcher Bob Brown. Seung-jin Hwang earned save number 1. The Fireballs now have a record of 19-29 with the win over Acapulco.

Lane Renouf, who is rated as the 28th best prospect by BNN, aided the Joplin cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"It feels good to get this one," Brown told the Joplin Daily.
