Death Stars Rally For Late Win Over Titans
|
The Chicago Titans got a superb performance from pitcher Fahad Munir. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Detroit. The Death Stars won the game, 5-2. In spite of the loss, Munir was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The win was credited to Lorenzo Ortega in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Nobuharu Fujita took the loss. Hervé Muller closed the door for Detroit, picking up his 9th save of the year.
Morgan Catterall hit a run-scoring double off Nobuharu Fujita in the top of the eighth, which put the Death Stars in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Catterall had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It feels good to get this one," Catterall told the Detroit Daily.
The third-place Death Stars now have a 5-game winning streak.
