Tobías Excels, But Death Stars Win
The Detroit Death Stars reigned over the Scranton Escape in damp conditions at The Death Star.

The Scranton Escape got a sterling performance from right fielder José Tobías, but the Death Stars still prevailed, 10-7. Tobías was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Detroit reliever Yoshikazu Ichihara picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Chan De shouldered the loss.

The Death Stars got a big at-bat from right fielder Ivan Nunez. For the game, Nunez was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Detroit a 7-5 lead.
