Victory Pushes Bombers Record to 12-8
|
South Carolina Bombers starter Carl Cozens was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 3-1. The win brings the Bombers to 12-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Zhao-ying Gai, who is a three-time All-Star, chipped in for South Carolina with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Cozens said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
