Fort Worth right fielder José Rodríguez had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Reno Raiders, 10-5. The save went to Bobby Saxon, his 12th this season. The Cats, now at 20-28, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
With two out in the top of the third, Chris Schmidt stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 22nd hit of the season and put Fort Worth in front, 2-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Rodríguez told the Fort Worth Today.
