The Indian Wells Aeropostales picked up a win at Foothills Stadium, knocking off the Calgary Kodiaks, 4-2. Starting pitcher John Faivre, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Aeropostales bumped their record to 28-21 with this latest triumph.

Toyokazu Murayama, who is tied for 7th in the NAL in triples with 2, chipped in for Indian Wells with a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Faivre. "Successful pitchers do it."
