The Joplin Fireballs got a superb performance from third baseman Stewart Gee, but the Silver Lake Baristas still won the game, 8-6. Gee was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Earning his 6th save for Silver Lake was Silvino Fagundo. The 5th-place Baristas lifted their record to 18-27.

The Baristas got a big at-bat from left fielder Ze-min Shuo. For the game, Shuo was 1 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Silver Lake a 8-6 lead.
