Acapulco beat Fairfield at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Travis Smith, who earned player of the game honors. In 6 innings, Smith surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Curtis Cahill picked up the save for Acapulco, his 9th of the year.
