Kodiaks Top Argonauts Behind Delgard, 6-1
|
Calgary left-hander Manuel Delgard made an effective start against the Astoria Argonauts at Foothills Stadium, leading his team to a 6-1 win. Calgary, now 20-23, holds third place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.
Delgard made it look easy. He scattered 2 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The left-hander upped his season record to 1-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Delgard said.
