Argonauts Bridle Coal Miners, 4-3
|
Antioch got a terrific game from shortstop Alex Bahena. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Astoria, 4-3. Bahena was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Astoria reliever Jeff Schwartz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Adam Lewis shouldered the loss. The last-place Argonauts lifted their record to 18-25.
Early in the game, center fielder Pat Schmoll had a 2-run triple for Astoria. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Argonauts on top, 2-0.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Antioch manager Hervé Barthélémy, "let me know."
