Huo Bewilders Phantoms in Shutout
The Coronado Phantoms manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Indian Wells Aeropostales. The Phantoms were overpowered by Indian Wells starter John Huo, who hurled his club to victory, 5-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Jeffrey Graham said.

Over 9 innings, Huo blanked Coronado on 3 hits with no walks and 9 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Huo said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

Checking out his stats for the year, Huo has racked up 6 wins and 1 loss in 10 starts, 1.60 ERA and struck out 70 batters in 67.2 innings.
