Blazers Lose to Grays, 6-5
|
Bloomington got a terrific performance from catcher Eugene Axe, but it wasn't enough to beat the Georgia Grays. Georgia won the The Death Star contest, 6-5. Axe was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Felipe Marés earned the win to go to 2-2. He allowed 5 earned runs on 11 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Martin Blank earned save number 1.
Mike Ramos, who signed a 4-year contract worth $100,760,000 on 01/11/2033, aided the Georgia cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
