Pitkeathy Now 2-6 After Subduing Argonauts
|
Pitcher Adam Pitkeathy was sensational for the Antioch Coal Miners in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Astoria Argonauts. Pitkeathy received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The third-place Coal Miners improved to 19-22.
Pitkeathy was in the zone all game. He frustrated Astoria hitters while giving the Coal Miners 8.2 innings of quality work. Pitkeathy threw 103 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Pitkeathy said.
