Titans Score Late to Upend Escape, 6-5
|
Benefiting from Jason Corcoran's productive game, the Chicago Titans downed the Scranton Escape, 6-5. Corcoran went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Titans. The Escape have now dropped 6 straight.
Corcoran had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-0 sinker from Máximo Larreta, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Titans a 6-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Corcoran.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Scranton manager Julián Cancil. "But we decided not to take it."
