Fireballs Lose 3-2 Decision to Raiders
|
It was a fun time at House of Pain, where the Joplin Fireballs and Reno Raiders tangled.
The Reno Raiders picked up a win at House of Pain, knocking off the Joplin Fireballs, 3-2. On the mound for Reno was left-hander Maurice Bignold, who played a pivotal role in the win. Reno is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The Raiders got a big at-bat from third baseman Ricardo Peralta. For the game, Peralta was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Reno a 3-1 lead.
Bignold said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
