Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Munoto Okuta, the Albuquerque Cacti defeated the Fort Worth Cats, 6-1. Okuta was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Cacti. James Crowe picked up the win with 8.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 3-0. The Cacti bumped their record to 25-15 with this latest triumph.

Okuta had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 3-1 cutter from Austin Meyers, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Cacti a 2-1 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Okuta.

"We'll savor this win," Okuta told the Albuquerque Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
