The Bowling Green Racers got a superb performance from third baseman António Ayala. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Fairfield. The Flash won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Ayala was named the player of the game. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Fairfield reliever Benjamin Stevenson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Daniel Carrasco took the loss. The first-place Flash have won 11 in a row.

The Flash got a big at-bat from catcher Jorge Escobedo. For the game, Escobedo was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 17th hit of the season gave Fairfield a 6-5 lead.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Escobedo told the Fairfield Herald.
