Fans at Central Park Downtown Stadium were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Columbus Aces take on the Rubber City Rhinos.

Getting a good performance from third baseman Avatsara Sangameswar, the Rubber City Rhinos defeated the Columbus Aces, 5-3. Sangameswar went 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the Rhinos. Rubber City reliever William Miller picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Aurelien Bonello was collared with the loss. Earning his 8th save for Rubber City was Shinzo Sasaki.

Pedro Pérez, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2031, helped out the Rubber City cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4 with a walk.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Pérez said.

Rubber City goes to 14-6 with the win.
